Dixie Roadhouse is a lively nightclub in the heart of Cape Coral, near La Venezia Ballroom.

This exciting spot brings in a large crowd on the weekends and has a free-cover night on Wednesdays that my friends and I never want to miss!

The line dancing here is enjoyable, and if you’re nervous about it, they have line-dancing lessons each Friday and Saturday night for beginners.

That way, when the crowds come in, you’ll be ready to pull out your moves and shine.

If you’re wondering where to get a drink with eclectic decor and chilled-out vibes, look no further than No.3 Craft Brews & Beer Bar, located in the Caloosahatchee area near Cape Coral re: MADE home goods store.

They offer 13 rotating taps of delicious craft beer, which I usually go for.

But they also have plenty of bottled beers that you or your friends might prefer, and you can take the bottles to go when you’re ready to head out.

I love the easygoing atmosphere, event nights like an open mic and trivia, and local food trucks that hang outside on the weekend.

I love coming to Back Streets Sports Bar, near Founders Park, for many reasons, whether to watch a game, sing hearts out during karaoke night, or just have a chill hangout and play pool.

I appreciate their classic sports bar food and drinks, such as chicken wings, jalapeno poppers, and buffalo chicken pizza.

I can pair any of those with a cold Yuengling or cider and have a great time!

Buckingham Blues Bar

If you’re a fan of blues music, Buckingham Blues Bar, near Buckingham Park, is easily one of the best bars in Cape Coral, Florida, for you!

I love coming to this down-to-earth, country-style blues bar when I want to relax on the outdoor patio, drink a domestic bottled beer like Miller or Budweiser, and eat some fried calamari while listening to blues.

They always have a great lineup of shows, and if you’re a musician, don’t hesitate to show up for the open jam sessions!

Space39 Art Bar & Martini Lounge

Space39 Art Bar & Martini Lounge is a trendy, stylish lounge with an art-filled interior, which makes sense as it’s located near the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center.

This Fort Myers bar serves up inventive cocktails and excellent martinis in particular.

Plus, Space39 has great live music performances and Thursday night jam sessions that they humorously call “Space Jams.”

Drinks are reasonably priced for the area, so I never have an issue trying out multiple martinis.

However, I always get the blueberry martini because it’s delicious!

Cigar Bar Live

1508 Hendry St, Fort Myers, FL 33901
Phone: (239) 337-4662

Cigar Bar Live is another Fort Myers Bar located in the same area as Space39 mentioned above and close to the Florida Repertory Theatre.

Cigar Bar Live has a cozy, intimate feel that’s perfect for hanging out with your significant other, listening to music with friends, or even meeting some friendly strangers.

I actually don’t smoke cigars, so I was skeptical about coming here at first, but I’m glad my friends talked me into it because the bands were incredible, and the drinks were super tasty!

The Dek Bar

4704 SE15th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33904

Back in the heart of Cape Coral, near the Boat House Boat Club, you’ll find The Dek Bar, a highly popular and raucous spot for live and delectable pub grub.

Their drinks and food are both fantastic.

They typically have a few specialty cocktails, and in the past, I’ve enjoyed the Cranberry Cooler with Jim Beam Red Stag cherry whiskey.

But the food is the true highlight here for me, with so many tasty options that it’s always hard to choose!

You can’t go wrong with the wings, pizza, tacos, or quesadillas.

Nevermind Awesome Bar and The Hop

Never mind, Awesome Bar and The Hop might have a confusing name, but don’t let that stop you from checking out this sports bar when you’re in Cape Coral.

Located close to the Rack’em Spirits & Times pool hall, this hip establishment offers cool indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out, munch on juicy cheeseburgers, and drink an ice-cold beer.

And for a sports bar vibe, the presentation of the food is exceptionally better than you might assume.

Given the unique name, it makes sense that this bar is full of surprises!

If you love upbeat nightspots and cheap beer bucks, and you don’t mind crowds of people, head to The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for line dancing and big country acts.

They used to have a problem with the space getting entirely too smoky inside from cigarettes, but now that it’s smoke-free, I appreciate the space even more – and my clothes do too!

This bar, located in the Winkler area of Fort Myers, is another line-dancing bar that offers instruction before the peak of the night, ensuring you feel confident and ready to dance along.

The Firestone Skybar & Martini Bar

Phone: (239) 334-3473

The Firestone Skybar & Martini Bar is a part-fine dining restaurant and part multi-level dance club, making it a popular place for people of all tastes and ages!

The roof is the place to be for the best atmosphere, in my opinion, because that’s where the dance floor is.

Plus, it has cool, neon lighting that enhances the vibe and the perfect view of the sunset each night.

I like their handcrafted cocktails, including Starlight Sparkler and Downtown Diva.

Diamond Billiards Sports Bar & Grill

Phone: (239) 573-7665
Visit Website

Diamond Billiards Sports Bar & Grill is a chilled-out, neon-lit sports bar between the Mariner and Trafalgar areas near BMX Park Boat Ramp.

Due to the dart boards, poker nights, and 19 pool tables, Diamond Billiards is one of the most fun places to get drinks and partake in some friendly competition in Cape Coral.

I recommend ordering one of their sandwiches, like the meatball sub or BLT, and a cheap draft beer to wash it down.

Cape Cabaret

4725 Vincennes Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33904
Phone: (239) 549-3000
Visit Website

Cape Cabaret is an all-around entertaining bar located by the CC Pkwy bus stop.

At some live performance bars, I don’t expect the best food or drinks because that’s not the main focus.

However, that’s not the case here, as they also have excellent menus.

You can get delicious, strong drinks at Cape Cabaret as well as tasty, full entrees to help you enjoy the show even further!

I recommend getting the ribeye steak with the Red Delicious Apple cocktail.

Written by Paul Kushner

I have always had a deep interest in the restaurant and bar industry. My restaurant experience began in 1997 at the age of 14 as a bus boy. By the time I turned 17 I was serving tables, and by 19 I was bartending/bar managing 6-7 nights a week.

In 2012, after a decade and a half of learning all facets of the industry, I opened my first restaurant/bar. In 2015, a second location followed, the latter being featured on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
