McGuire’s Irish Pub
33 US-98 E, Destin, FL 32541
McGuire’s Irish Pub first opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982 McGuire’s moved to its current location; Pensacola’s original 1927 Old Firehouse. Inside the pub you’ll find a turn-of-the-century, New York Irish Saloon themed 615-seat restaurant.
We are celebrated for our atmosphere boasting more than One Million signed dollar bills hanging from the ceilings and walls of the Pub. In 1996, a second location, McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin opened on beautiful Destin Harbor with the same great food and live Irish entertainment.
This is one of the most popular bars in the area, so you’ll be sure to have a good time. I ordered a few drinks, but my favorite ended up being the Old Fashioned Ale.
The Craft Bar
4424 Commons Dr E, Destin, FL 32541
Gastropub offers a wide selection of craft beer, hand-crafted cocktails, fine wine, and from-scratch pub food with an artisan twist. All with a focus on locally sourced ingredients! The Craft Bar offers a casual atmosphere in a unique setting.
I really loved this place, so I’ll be coming back soon. When I was here I ordered the Manhattan with Michter’s small batch bourbon, Carpano Antica, Angostura bitters. Some other drinks that the bartender recommended were The French 75, Toki Americano, or Original Daiquiri.
Boathouse Oyster Bar
288 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541
The local’s favorite spot! With fresh oysters, cold beer, and live music every day of the week, it’s easy to see why they’ve been a staple on the Destin Harbor for over 30 years!
The Boathouse Oyster Bar is one of Destin’s best kept secrets. Located on the Destin Harbor, the Boathouse offers anything from seafood to burgers and salads with a water view.
2237 Scenic Gulf Dr, Destin, FL 32550
If your in Destin or Panama City Beach, Pompano Joe’s Seafood House is a destination you must visit. Known for its fresh affordable Gulf seafood prepared with a Caribbean flavor, Pompano Joe’s is not your typical seafood restaurant. They’re a neighborhood beach place where you can “savor the flavor” of the Islands!
This place is one of my favorites! I came here with a group of co-workers and had a great time. I ordered the Margaritas and loved it.
The Wine Bar
4424 Commons Dr E d2, Destin, FL 32541
Featuring an award-winning wine list and a generous happy hour, The Wine Bar offers a casual & friendly yet elegant atmosphere for lunch or dinner, and delectable Chef’s specials every day.
The covered patio is perfect for outdoor dining, rain, or shine! A beautiful and quaint wine cellar is also available to reserve for private dinners.
Lucky’s Rotten Apple
205 Mountain Dr, Destin, FL 32541
If you’re looking for a fun night out in Destin, there’s no better place for starting, ending, or partying the night away than Lucky’s Rotten Apple. As your local dive bar, just one block off the main drag, they’re the go-to place for locals and those looking for a guaranteed good and affordable time.
Lucky’s is the place whether you want to unwind after a long day, watch your favorite team on the screen, dance the night away, or shoot some pool with your friends on one of their three pool tables.
Red Door Saloon
240 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541
They’ve opened their third location in Destin, FL “in the harbor, above the boathouse” for a fantastic location along the Florida Gulf Coast. Every Red Door Saloon boasts a great patio area, but this one has excellent views of the ocean like only Destin, Florida can deliver.
When I came to this spot my friends ordered the Victory Summer Love Ale, 30A Beach Blonde, and New Belgium Fat Tire. I went for the Yuengling which was absolutely amazing.
AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar
116 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541
Since 1984, AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar has been serving cold Gulf Coast oysters and cool libations. What began as a popular local hangout known for fresh oysters and cold beer has grown into one of the most iconic “hot spots” on Destin Harbor.
From their humble beginning shucking oysters off the deck behind a small trailer on the Destin Harbor, they are proud to have grown to four locations along Florida’s Emerald Coast, serving the freshest seafood, best live music, and most exciting water activities in the Destin area.
We dropped by this spot one night and had a blast! If you end up visiting this bar, I would try the Sake Bomb, Ty-Ku Black Bottle, or Hana Fuji Apple Bottle.
Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill
20001 Emerald Coast Pkwy, Destin, FL 32541
Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill in Destin has been locally owned and operated since its inception in 1982. Fudpucker’s Destin restaurant stands out from other Destin area restaurants by being dedicated to their owners’ three favorites “F” words: Food, Fun, and Family.
And, you can be assured that there’s plenty of each when you visit Fudpucker’s restaurant in Destin. Fudpucker’s is not just a restaurant, it’s not just a bar, and it’s certainly not just a “tourist” place – it’s a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience and one that can be enjoyed by kids and families of all ages.
This spot served up some of the best drinks I’ve had and was so much fun. I came here with a group of friends and ordered the Blueberry Bull with Smirnoff Citrus Vodka and Blueberry Red Bull with a splash of Sour Mix. My friends ordered the Gator Bomb and Fudpuckin’ Mule.
Taifins Waterfront Grill
172 Harbor Boulevard–Main Level-Top Deck, Destin, FL 32541
With 35 years of experience owning and operating restaurants, they are excited to present their vision to you and all their guests–local and out of town visitors!! Their caring and committed staff and the owner will ensure you have a fantastic experience with them.
Their restaurant is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. They refuse to compromise on quality in their restaurant. That’s why they source their fresh ingredients from local markets.
My all time favorite drink at this spot is the Emerald Coast Cooler. It comes with Absolut vodka, blue curacao, sour mix, lime juice, a splash of sprite, and is absolutely delicious! I also tried the Tailfins Bushwhacker and Frozen Margarita which were equally as good.
Bric à Brac
824 Gulf Shore Dr, Destin, FL 32541
Bric à Brac, a locally owned and operated, family-friendly (Yes! That means kids are welcome, too!) American-style restaurant in Destin, FL, has been serving up fresh meals with a side of fun since 2014. Known for their delicious eats — especially their crab cakes — and their artsy vibe, they’re proud to invite locals and tourists alike to enjoy a meal with them.
This is one of the most popular bars in the area, so you’ll be sure to have a good time. I ordered a few drinks, but my favorite ended up being the Skinny Margarita.
