First, 1618 West Seafood Grille is one of the greatest bars in town where you can also enjoy a delicious meal. The restaurant has an upscale setting with carefully curated options.
They have a great seafood selection, and I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass. Chef George C. Neal is in charge of the kitchen, with passion and experience for French cuisine.
1618 West Seafood Grille is close to the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and the Radiance and Friendly Ave bus stop is right across the street.
Freeman’s Grub & Pub

If you’d prefer a casual location for where to get a drink, Freeman’s Grub & Pub is a great choice. It has a substantial menu of hearty food, including many American staples.
Not only do they serve great food, but offer plenty of cocktails and craft beer. I particularly enjoyed their selection of margaritas.
Freeman’s Grub & Pub is across the street from The Blind Tiger music venue, and the Spring Garden and Chapman bus stop is right at the corner.

A non-alcoholic bar option is the Krave Kava Bar. This lounge is one of our favorite bars in the area, great for people looking for the social experiences of bars without alcohol.
The focus of this bar is kava tea, a plant that promotes relaxation and sociability. You can also find yerba teas and, my personal favorite, specialty coffees.
Krave Kava Bar is next to the Carolina Theater for performing arts, near the corner of Exchange Place and South Greene Street.
Bench Tavern

For a classic bar experience, check out the Bench Tavern. This bar is a fun place to go out and enjoy a few drinks while watching sports, playing pool, or enjoying occasional live music.
This bar doesn’t serve any food, so it must be a private bar in North Carolina. Still, guests are usually welcome, and the members create a tight-knit atmosphere.
One of the most popular watering holes for locals, the Bench Tavern is right off Lawndale Drive.

Next, Old Town Draught House has loyally served as one of the hottest bars in Greensboro since 1996. Their specialty is in beers, often featuring specialty and craft options.
I appreciated trying out a few of their local selections from the 24 craft beers on tap. It’s a great place to go out and get a bite, with a delicious menu of sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers.
This college pub is south of the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

The Boxcar Bar + Arcade is a fun place to get drinks, with a unique full arcade connected to the bar. Experience your favorite games while sipping on a selection of craft beers and cocktails.
You can expect a casual environment, and the location is also dog-friendly. The venue provides free popcorn, and you can often find local food trucks outside.
Located in the heart of Greensboro, The Boxcar Bar + Arcade is behind the Community Theater of Greensboro on West Lewis Street.
Boo Radley’s Tavern

You can catch the NFL games on multiple TVs or play pool. You can find Boo Radley’s off Lawndale Drive, close to where it intersects with Sunset Drive.
Benders Tavern

One of the greatest bars for a neighborhood feel is The Speakeasy Tavern. This location has a substantial menu of drinks and food, so it doesn’t require a membership.
The Speakeasy Tavern can be a fun place to go out because it regularly offers special events that include discounts on drinks. I enjoyed their french dip sandwich with a cold local beer.
You can find this bar about two miles away from the Fisher Park Historic District and the Battleground Avenue and Pembroke bus stop.

If you’re searching for a great place to get drinks along with pool and sports, you might enjoy Breakers. This accommodating location has multiple pool tables and room for darts, plus TVs for the game.
I enjoyed their wide selection of draft beers and had a good time on their patio.
Breakers is near Guilford College, and you can find it on Mapleleaf Drive between Dolley Madison Road and Tomahawk Drive.

The CharBar7 is a fun place to get drinks with excellent food. They specialize in beef, with delicious burgers and steaks.
I loved trying the leap year burger, and this location has a variety of beers, wines, and cocktails. I had a refreshing raspberry martini while relaxing on their patio.

Jake’s Pub & Billiards

This bar is close to the University of North Carolina Greensboro and is right off Spring Garden Street.
