What was once a destination cocktail bar in an emerging neighborhood, has now become a welcome place for all of Jacksonville; natives and beyond. Sidecar offers a lovable blend of quirk and craft, come check out and see what they have on the menu for you.

I really loved this place, so I’ll be coming back soon. When I was here I ordered the Sidecar with Brandy Sainte Louise, dry curacao, lemon, and turbinado. Some other drinks that the bartender recommended were the Pisco Punch, Jazzy Belle, or 1934 Cosmo.

Your children will be offered a varied kids’ menu. The friendly staff welcomes visitors all year round. If you want to experience cool service, you should visit this place. The fancy decor and enjoyable atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here.

This spot has always been on my list of best bars. Whenever I’m here I get the same drink, the 3 Dots and a Dash. It comes with Rhum JM White, Hamilton Demerara, Velvet Falernum, Allspice Dram, lime, orange, and honey.

The Volstead

The Volstead opened on NYE 2013 in Downtown Jacksonville. They are dedicated to bringing unrivaled drink quality and service to a discerning crowd of grown-ups. Their talented bartenders create tantalizing hand-crafted cocktails that will intrigue both your palate and your senses.

Since opening, The Volstead has quickly become one of Jacksonville’s best-loved bars based on its inspired cocktails, speakeasy attitude and cozy atmosphere.

If you stop by this place, I would recommend trying the Breath of the Wild;  Rittenhouse Rye, Green Chartreuse, Pamplemousse Liqueur, lemon, Rosemary, cranberry bitters, and walnut bitters. Other drinks that caught my eye were the Love Potion No. 9, Basic Branca, and Sharks in Space. I’ll be ordering those next time I pop into this spot!

Engine 15 Brewing Co.

One of Jacksonville’s first craft breweries. 20-30 Engine 15 beers on tap + guest taps. Brewpub with a full kitchen. Patio, family-friendly, dog-friendly. Come try some delicious beer at the beach!

This is one of the most popular bars in the area, so you’ll be sure to have a good time. I ordered a few drinks, but my favorite ended up being the Cherry Lime Gose.

Grape and Grain Exchange

The Grape and Grain Exchange brings the craft cocktail and “garden to bar” movement to San Marco Square in Jacksonville. They feature craft beers and wines; small batch regional and local spirits, and innovative and classic cocktails.

We had so much fun at this place! My friends ordered the French 75 and Gold Rush, and I opted for the Jungle Bird. My drink came with rum, campari, pinapple, lime, and sugar.

Dos Gatos

Welcome to Dos Gatos – Jacksonville’s original cocktail lounge. Located Downtown, directly across from the historic Florida Theatre, you’ll find the art of the cocktail on full display nightly by a well trained cadre of cocktail artists. In St. Augustine? They’ve got you covered. DG St. Augustine is one of the only places to dance in the Old City. Don’t miss the upstairs Lounge bar.

When your passion for drinking needs a home, their light is always on.

This spot served up some of the best drinks I’ve had and was so much fun. I came here with a group of friends and ordered the Red Dawn with fresh seasonal berries, Russian Standard vodka, ginger liqueur and ginger beer. My friends ordered the Raspberry Lagerita and Orange Jalapeno Margarita.

Ginger’s Place

304 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

Ginger’s Place has been family owned and operated for 40 years. Known by locals as a “word of mouth” lounge, as opposed to an advertised place of business, they have thrived in building a solid foundation of regulars who frequent their small establishment.

We dropped by this spot one night and had a blast! If you end up visiting this bar, I would try the Rocket Bomb, Ziggy Fudpucker, or Two Tit Mice Vodka.

Wicked Barley

4100 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32217

Wicked Barley aim to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their brewery grounds include a 2200 sq foot full service restaurant and tap room with multiple tvs, covered patio, a pet friendly waterfront beer garden, and a boat dock.

My all time favorite drink at this spot is the Fall Imperial Cider, and is absolutely delicious! I also tried the Jeans in the Pool and Wicked Water which were equally as good.

Flying Iguana

Taqueria and Tequila Bar – Live music, creative signature cocktails, local craft beers and an exciting fusion of Latin American cuisine including: eclectic tacos, creative entrees, and one of the best brunches in town in a modern atmosphere.

The bartender at this spot recommended the Smokey and the Bandit with Vida mezcal, vodka, fresh lime juice, pomegranate purée, and Angry Orchard cider, so I had to try it! The group of friends I was with ordered the Ginger Beer Margarita, Watermelon Bliss, and Caipirinha, Pisco Sour, and Skinny Rita.

Black Sheep Restaurant

1534 Oak St, Jacksonville, FL 32204
Phone: 904-380-3091

Black Sheep Restaurant is a modern American restaurant located in the historic Five Points district of Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood. Their philosophy is simple: use fresh, local ingredients to create handcrafted food and cocktails, and deliver both with gracious service.

Ther offer a full bar, signature cocktails, craft beers and an excellent wine list — not to mention a rooftop bar and lounge with beautiful views of Riverside, Downtown, and the St. Johns River.

I really loved the drink I ordered, Heaven’s Gate with blueberry and cucumber-infused bitter truth elderflower liqueur, prosecco, cucumber slices. Our bartender also recommended a few of the other drinks on the menu; Bloody Mary, Berrmosa, and Mimosa.
