32 Degree Rooftop Bar is a classy rooftop cocktail bar in the heart of downtown overlooking Haggard Park. It’s a great destination to enjoy sunset views with a cocktail in hand before heading down to its sister restaurant, Urban Crust, for a delicious pizza dinner.
32 Degrees has a well-rounded cocktail menu of classics, novel concoctions, and wine and beer. I loved their prickly pear margarita!

Another downtown favorite, The Fillmore Pub, is a casual, cozy, and bustling gastropub offering a long list of craft beers, whiskey, and scratch-made food.
The Fillmore Pub has around 40 draft beers, 30 of which are local Texas breweries, not to mention a long list of imports and a full cocktail bar menu.
I wanted to try a Dallas-native beer, choosing the Deep Ellum Easy Peasy IPA.

Katy Trail Ice House Outpost is a Shepton neighborhood beer garden, cocktail bar, and Texas-style barbecue joint with a giant tree-covered backyard.
They have 28 beers on tap from local, domestic, and international breweries, not to mention Texas-sized portions of margaritas.
Their frozen margarita won Best Margarita from D Magazine, so I enjoyed one to cool off my bowl of Texas chili.

They offer wine on tap and dozens of boutique bottles from around the world to accompany a full menu of high-end Italian cuisine.
They also have a full cocktail bar. I combined wine and cocktail by ordering the refreshing Frose with a plate of braised pork pappardelle.

The Boardwalk at Granite Park is a gorgeous outdoor food and drink hall and retail mall over a large manmade lake in Stonebriar Creek Estates.
They have various bar options, from breweries to French bistros. I recommend the Fork and Fire Craft bar for an al fresco happy hour over the lake.
I enjoyed a cheap F&F Cooler with a cheaper plate of grilled pear and bleu cheese crostini.

Located at the south end of Pittman Estates, Rodeo Goat is a craft beer and cocktail bar and burger restaurant, receiving every DFW publication’s vote for best burger.

They offer craft cocktails and scratch-made comfort food using locally sourced ingredients. They have an especially impressive whiskey selection.
I had a delicious Old Fashioned with a decadent meal of fried chicken.
