In addition to the Belgian beer, I appreciate their extensive wine list and their complete charcuterie boards that are perfect for date night.

Near the East River and by Nitehawk Cinema is Skinny Dennis, a vibrant honky-tonk bar playing jukebox and live country music.

One of my favorite things about this bar is its frozen coffee with bourbon — I can never get enough! I also appreciate that they offer free peanuts to snack on as the night goes on.

If you’re looking for a chic yet fun bar to hang out in, look no further than Maison Premiere, near El Museo de Los Sures.

This bar has New Orleans-inspired decor and offers tasty cocktails and oysters. In addition to the oysters, I recommend ordering their lobster rolls and wagyu beef tartare.

I love going here for cocktails and cocktails alone, as they have some of the best classic creations in town. Try their negroni, espresso martini, or pisco sour.

This popular bar is highly-rated for good reasons. Radegast Hall is one of the most fun places to get drinks due to its boisterous vibe, delicious brews, tasty schnitzel, and great live music throughout the week.

Westlight is an excellent bar in Williamsburg to get a drink and enjoy the city views. This rooftop bar near McCarren Park provides not only panoramic skyline views but also offers inspired cocktails.

I normally get the Lavender Lake because I love the lavender flavor in anything, but you can’t go wrong with anything you order at this classy spot.


The Commodore

Another bar near McCarren Park is The Commodore. I find the nautical theme so fun and inviting at this bar, but the scrumptious fried chicken is the best part!

I love going here with friends and sharing multiple fried chicken plates, as well as throwing in some tasty drinks like the New Orleans-inspired Hurricane or a fresh pina colada.


Rocka Rolla

Rocky Rolla, next to Macri Triangle, is a jack of many trades. You can go to play great music on the jukebox, play pinball with your friends, or have a laugh at the old-school signs hanging on the walls.

Either way, you have to try out at least one of their big draft beers and at least one of the batched cocktails. They also have a boozy iced coffee drink that’s to die for!

If you’re a lover of antiques, you’ll appreciate Night of Joy, a lounge and roof patio on the McCarren side of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

I love going here to sip on delicious cocktails like Lavender Gin or a Sidecar while appreciating the antique design. The patio is perfect for summer, and the indoor space is cozy enough for the winter.

If you’re looking for a more upscale vibe, then head to Hotel Delmano near Bushwick Inlet Park. With its elegant ceiling pant and vintage decor, this bar makes me feel like I’ve been transported to another era.

When I’m feeling like drinking nice wine, I don’t hesitate to go to The Four Horseman, a bar and restaurant near St. Marie’s Bar & Supper Club that specializes in wine.

James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem created this bar, which makes it even more appealing.
