Near the East River and by Nitehawk Cinema is Skinny Dennis, a vibrant honky-tonk bar playing jukebox and live country music.
One of my favorite things about this bar is its frozen coffee with bourbon — I can never get enough! I also appreciate that they offer free peanuts to snack on as the night goes on.

Another bar near McCarren Park is The Commodore. I find the nautical theme so fun and inviting at this bar, but the scrumptious fried chicken is the best part!
I love going here with friends and sharing multiple fried chicken plates, as well as throwing in some tasty drinks like the New Orleans-inspired Hurricane or a fresh pina colada.

Rocky Rolla, next to Macri Triangle, is a jack of many trades. You can go to play great music on the jukebox, play pinball with your friends, or have a laugh at the old-school signs hanging on the walls.

If you’re a lover of antiques, you’ll appreciate Night of Joy, a lounge and roof patio on the McCarren side of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.
