The Truck Yard is a great place to go if you can’t decide what you want.

This large space has a variety of food trucks and a fun outdoor space. You can get almost any food your heart desires and practically any drink.

The outdoor seating area is a great place to meet with large groups of friends or to make new ones.

Whether you’re a wine drinker or prefer a frozen cocktail, Truck Yard has an extensive drink menu.

I highly recommend the Wheatley Espresso Martini.

After eating a sandwich from the Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. truck I couldn’t resist the cheesesteak nachos.


The Rustic

The Rustic is one of the most fun places in all Dallas. It’s a homely venue that features locally sourced food.

There is also an outdoor patio that often has live music.

It’s best to come hungry because The Rustic has a big menu from everything from classic cocktails to frozen drinks to apps and desserts.

I love the tamales and the cactus fries. I also highly recommend Joe Leo Chicken Tinga tacos and a slice of peanut butter pie.

The Katy Trail Ice House is one of the city’s premier beer gardens.

This beloved spot is situated along the famous Katy Trail, a vibrant urban park that spans several miles, attracting locals and visitors alike.

Nearby landmarks include the bustling West Village, shopping and dining options, and the historic Oak Lawn neighborhood.

As you enter the Katy Trail Ice House, you’ll be greeted by a spacious and inviting interior.

The rustic charm permeates the bar, with wooden accents and a cozy fireplace creating a warm and relaxed ambiance.

The general vibe is lively and laid-back, perfect for enjoying a cold drink with friends. My favorite drinks were the French 75 and the Sangria.


Oak St. Drafthouse and Cocktail Parlor

The Oak St. Drafthouse is in a former historical house in Denton. The back patio is dog friendly, so bring your furry friend.

There are also ping-pong tables if you are competitive.

If you are interested in something a bit more low-key, there are a wide variety of board games that you can play for free.

Drafthouse doesn’t have a food menu, but there is usually a food truck parked in the front so you don’t have to worry about going hungry.

They have a rotating menu of Dallas beers and other drinks so it’s always best to stop in and see what’s on tap.

Situated in the vibrant Eastwood neighborhood of Dallas, TX, the Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House is a true gem among the city’s best beer gardens.

Whether you’re a fan of IPAs or lean more towards ciders, imports, or specialty cocktails, the drink selection is expansive.

If you visit, you have to order the burgers. There is a long list of specialty burgers that will blow you away.

I loved the Bourdain burger and treated myself to the Butter Pecan Highball.

Additionally, I recommend ordering fried pickles.
