Cafe La Maude is a charming Lebanese-French restaurant located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The BYOB restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and offers up a creative fusion of traditional Lebanese and French cuisine. Being partial to both, I was delighted by their take on shawarma and Gaufre chicken cordon bleu. Interestingly, the restaurant’s menu was inspired by the owner’s mother’s home-cooked meals.

The cozy Green Eggs Café offers an array of amazing dishes, like sweet potato empanadas and chicken Tinga egg rolls. However, in my opinion, their creme brûlée French toast is a must for breakfast. They also offer a selection of fresh juices and specialty coffee drinks. Its interior is open and spacious, while the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Besides mimosas, Green Eggs offers champagne and several “Bloodies,” including a BBQ Bacon Bloody Mary.

They’ve been in business since 1983 and have built a deserved reputation for their award-winning food. If you’re looking to go out, I recommend pairing the Idaho rainbow trout with Kennett Square mushroom soup and absolutely delicious crispy Yucca fries. They have a selection of beers on draft, cocktails, and wines by the glass. Beyond incredible food, White Dog Cafe has been recognized for its efforts to reduce its environmental impact and support local farmers and producers.

Their steak quesadilla and SOMO disco fries made for an unforgettable meal during my visit.

Guests can also enjoy arcade games or watch their favorite sports teams on one of the bar’s large screens. With so much to do and see, I found Rec & Royal to be a fun place to go out and get a drink!
