7 Most Popular Bowling Bars in Los Angeles

If you want to know where to get a drink and throw some bowling balls in LA, I’ve got you covered.

Nothing is as fun as enjoying a few beers while beating your friends in bowling. Or, in my case, enjoying beers and losing a few games.

I rounded up my seven favorite bowling bars in LA, from bright neon bowling alleys to laidback and swanky spots; I love all these spots.

Check out my list of the best bowling bars in Los Angeles below!

Highland Park Bowl

5621 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90042
Phone: (323) 257-2695
Visit Website

Highland Park Bowl is a swanky and beautiful bowling bar.

A pretty bowling bar? Yes! The bar is the heart of the Highland Park neighborhood and has an upscale vibe with leather couches and a lovely wooden bar.

I highly recommend their delicious pizzas and crunchy cauliflower arancini! But for me, their Holly Golightly cocktail is out of this world, with rosemary mezcal and an aromatic, fruity flavor.

Lucky Strike Hollywood

6801 Hollywood Blvd Ste 143, Hollywood, CA 90028
Phone: (323) 467-7776
Visit Website

Lucky Strike is a classic bowling bar in a tourist hotspot near the TCL Chinese Theatres, Hollywood Museum, and other iconic spots.

With neon lights and an industrial mural on the wall, it has a funky and modern vibe, perfect for an exciting night out.

While you throw strikes, you can eat their creamy mac and cheese bites and sip on one of their handcrafted cocktails, like my personal favorite, the blackberry basil mule!

XLanes LA

333 Alameda St #300, Los Angeles, CA 90013
Phone: (213) 229-8910
Visit Website

XLanes is smack dab in the middle of the LA Arts District near Little Tokyo, so it has an upbeat and colorful vibe that will energize you.

It’s also one of the larger bowling bars, so it’s a wonderful spot for group outings and parties!

They serve traditional bar food like fries, nachos, tater tots, quesadillas, and chicken wings. Their robust drink menu includes everything from fancy cocktails to canned beers, so there’s something for everyone.

Bowlero Los Angeles

8731 Lincoln Blvd, Westchester, CA 90045
Phone: (310) 670-0688
Visit Website

This Bowlero is a block off of W Manchester Ave near the Marina del Ray area. It’s a bright and colorful spot with dozens of bowling lanes and a dazzling arcade!

Their iconic 123-ounce Dunk Tank cocktail is fun to share and states like a tropical vacation.

And nothing beats their massive Behemoth Burger that I can never finish on my own. Bowlero’s mantra is the bigger, the better!

Shatto 39 Lanes

3255 4th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020
Phone: (213) 385-9475
Visit Website

Shatto is off S Vermont Ave near Wilshire Center in a small shopping center.

This bowling bar is simpler and more refined than the crazy neon ones on this list, offering a more laid-back experience.

It’s one of the best places to go out with friends or family for an exciting few games of bowling. I recommend their robust nacho plates and ice-cold beers that set the mood for a chill evening of bowling.

Pinz Bowling Kitchen + Bar

12655 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604
Phone: (818) 769-7600
Visit Website

The Pinz Bowling Kitchen and Bar is tucked away in Studio City near many restaurants and stores.

This bowling bar is one of the most modern and fun places to go out, with a sophisticated vibe without being stuffy or formal.

In addition, they serve various tasty foods. You can order everything from hot dogs to meatballs. Moreover, they have delicious milkshakes, so you won’t leave this place with an empty stomach. In addition, their friendly bartenders make a mean margarita that rivals even the best Mexican spots!

Winnetka Bowl

20122 Vanowen St, Winnetka, CA 91306
Phone: (818) 340-5190
Visit Website

If you’re looking for fun places to get drinks, I highly recommend Winnetka Bowl in the Winnetka area, just a block or two away from the LA River.

It’s one of the more kid-friendly spots but also caters to young adults looking for lively bars.

They have a variety of draft beers, including some of my favorite hoppy IPAs. And if you’re hungry, you can grab a small bite at their snack bar!.

Final Thoughts

Bowling is always fun, but for me, a bowling night isn’t complete without some delicious drinks and scrumptious food, which is why these seven bars made my list of the best bowling bars in Los Angeles.
