Madhatter is a hilarious spot to go to any night of the week, but I especially love going there with a group of friends on the weekend.

Located in the famous Dupont Circle area, it’s one of the most convenient and fun places to go out, especially for young professionals in the DMV.

They always play loud, bumping music, and it’s hard to resist getting the huge “Hat” drink filled with a punch-like concoction for you and all your friends to share throughout the night.

Breadsoda Bar, Deli & Billiards

Breadsoda Bar, by the Gay Mason Recreation Center, is one of the best college bars in Washington DC due to its funky, 70’s-style digs and array of bar games.

I love that it’s in a basement, making it feel very relaxed and homey at the same time.

But my favorite part is all the games! You can choose from darts, shuffleboard, pool, or even play Wii.

It’s the perfect place to blow off some steam while studying for finals.

El Rey

919 U St NW, Washington, DC 20001

El Rey is a beautiful bar for tasty Mexican food during the day and drinks and dancing at night!

Located between Logan Circle and the Banneker Recreation Center, this popular restaurant and bar are where to get a drink if you’re looking for a tremendous bang-for-your-buck happy hour or a perfect patio to hang out at during warmer days.

And, of course, at night, there’s plenty of opportunity to dance your heart out.

Flash

If you want to dance, head to Flash, one of the best college bars in Washington, DC.

It’s located in the Shaw area near the Howard Theatre.

They offer great tunes from international DJs, usually playing banging house and techno music over a great sound system.

I’ve been here quite a few times and always have the time of my life until the wee hours of the night – then head to a late-night pizza spot, of course.

Town Tavern DC

2323 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009
Phone: (202) 387-8696
Visit Website

Town Tavern DC is undoubtedly one of the most fun places to get drinks if you love themed nights.

They have comedy nights, open mic nights, and even sports events.

And, of course, they offer dance parties on the weekends, so you can get your groove on!

I especially appreciate their Harry Potter theme, as well as their well-priced wings, tots, and mixed drinks.

Please drink responsibly, be fully accountable with your alcohol consumption, and show others respect.
