Around the corner from Las Manos Gallery, Hopleaf is one of the most conveniently-located and fun places to go out in Chicago.

It has mouthwatering Belgian-style cuisine, 60 beers on tap, and 300 bottled beers.

You can find Belgian suds there, plus a large selection of international brews.

Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar

Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar is a short drive from McGuane Park and has a staggering collection of 450 beers and rare and hard-to-find spirits.

It’s my go-to bar when I’m looking for something extraordinary, plus they regularly host art shows and live music performances.

Map Room

Map Room is one of the most fun places to get drinks, featuring funky decor and regular beer tastings.

Just a few blocks from Erhler Park, Map Room, has craft beers from all over the world on 30 different rotating taps and plenty of ciders and bottled beers.

You’ll find plenty of places to sit and a welcoming atmosphere.

Beermiscuous is a few minutes walk from South Lakeview Park and one of the staples of the craft beer scene in Chicago.

Stop in for an impressive collection of craft beers from all corners of the globe of 10 rotating taps, plus plenty of bottles in the back.

One of the key selling points is their rare mead selection.

Sheffield’s Wine & Beer Garden

Just three blocks from Hawthorne Elementary, Sheffield’s Wine & Beer Garden is known for its extensive collection of beers and fabulous beer garden in their outdoor seating.

When I visit, I like to savor some world-class barbecue along with my pints.

With 50 rotating taps and beers that you won’t find anywhere else, they’re a must-visit spot in Chicago.

Local Option

Local Option is a block from Trebes Park in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago.

They’re known for their rare and unique beers and funky and fun atmosphere.

No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it at Local Option and possibly make a new friend or two.

Bangers & Lace Wicker Park

A short walk from the Division Metro, Bangers & Lace Wicker Park is a fun craft beer bar and restaurant situated right in the middle of Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.

In addition to a huge selection of craft beers, they feature a tasty menu of small plates and homemade sausages.

This popular restaurant and beer house is just a few blocks from the Chicago History Museum and is easily one of my favorite places on the list.

You’ll find nearly one hundred rotating tabs and a lot of small-batch brewery offerings. They also serve delectable cocktails and wine.

Sleeping Village

Right off the 90 Expressway, Sleeping Village sits right in the heart of Avondale, Chicago, and it is known for its various live music acts, fun atmosphere, and wide range of craft beers.

While the beers are a huge draw, one of my favorite aspects of Sleeping Village is the ample outdoor seating.

Small Bar

Located just two blocks from the Iglesia Evangelica Reformada, Small Bar has exceptional comfort food and pub fare.

Moreover, you can choose from a nice selection of craft beers that range from IPAs to sours and everything in between.

While you’ll find larger breweries represented at Small Bar, this spot is an excellent place to get your hands on some rare beers.

Centennial Crafted Beer & Eatery

Centennial Crafted Beer & Eatery is a few blocks from Washington Square Park.

Visit if you’re in the mood for high-end American cuisine, a laid-back atmosphere, and rare bottled beer and ciders.

They also have 50 taps that change seasonally, a lovely patio, and cozy lounge areas to watch sports.
