Glendale Tap

4227 San Fernando Rd, Glendale, CA 91204
Phone: (818) 241-4227
Visit Website

Glendale Tap is one of the most fun places to get drinks in LA due to its old-school yet lively, friendly vibe and its extensive list of craft beers – over fifty, to be exact!

What I love about this bar in Glendale near the Tropico Beauty Museum is that it focuses almost solely on craft beer – whether on tap or bottled.

Glendale Tap is a great place to go with a solid group of friends to try out different beers, eat from the food truck, and maybe play a friendly game of pool or two.

Beers I recommend include the Deep Breaths pilsner, the Joyful Intuition IPA, and the Liquidor sour beer, but there’s something for all..

Tony’s Darts Away

1710 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506
Phone: (818) 253-1710
Visit Website

Tony’s Darts Away, near the Gordon R Howard Museum, is a welcoming, cozy gastropub with an eco-minded menu and a wide selection of drinks.

It’s one of LA’s best craft beer bars, for sure!

In addition to the extensive list of craft beers, I appreciate the extensive array of board games they have on hand, making it a great place for some friendly competition with your pals.

If you or your friends are vegan, there are plenty of options, which is uncommon for other gastropubs.

And in terms of beer, you can’t go wrong with the Haze Your Glasses IPA.

Highland Park Brewery

1220 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Phone: (213) 878-9017
Visit Website

Highland Park Brewery, near the Los Angeles State Historic Park, offers a vibrant, spacious setting to enjoy city views and munch on tasty bar bites while sipping delicious craft beer.

I’m a huge fan of their stouts and ciders, but there are plenty of options for those who love hazy, hoppy, sour, and dark beers.

Beachwood Brewing Downtown Long Beach

210 E 3rd St, Long Beach, CA 90802
Phone: (562) 436-4020
Visit Website

Beachwood Brewing Downtown Long Beach is the perfect place to go if you want BBQ and beer in the same sitting.

This industrial-chic brewery is located near the Harvey Milk Promenade Park, and you can enjoy tasty brews, brisket, and pulled pork, alongside some fried fish.

I recommend trying some favorites off the tap list, including the 28 Haze Later hazy IPA, the Amalgamator West-coast style IPA, or the Beachwood Blond blonde ale.

Naja’s Place

154 International Boardwalk, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Phone: (310) 376-9951
Visit Website

Naja’s Place is one of the most fun places to get drinks in the Redondo Beach area due to its dockside location, flat-screen TVs, colorful decor, and live music nights.

I love coming here with friends to try a new beer – as I feel it’s possible to get something you’ve never tried each time you go – and simply enjoy the ocean views.

It’s perfect if one of your friends isn’t a beer drinker, as they also have tasty wine options.

Smog City Brewery & Taproom

1901 Del Amo Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501
Phone: (310) 320-7664
Visit Website

Smog City Brewery & Taproom is one of the best craft beer bars in Los Angeles because of its friendly, family-run atmosphere and its wide selection of ales, stouts, pilsners, and more.

Located close to the Wrecking Yard in Pueblo, this brewery allows you to fill up growlers to take home your favorite beer of the night.

Plus, they promote “Your Pick” on the menu so that you can get help selecting the best beer for your tastes.

But if you love IPA, don’t hesitate to try the Smog City IPA – you won’t be disappointed!

Three Weavers Brewing Company

Phone: (310) 400-5830
Visit Website

Three Weavers Brewing Company, near the Westchester Playhouse, is a casual hangout spot with plenty of board games and even more beer to select from!

Since it’s near LAX, it’s a popular spot to let the time pass if you’re getting ready to head to the airport or just getting into the city and want to grab a post-flight drink.
