Blade 1936 is the ideal spot to cozy up for a comforting Italian meal and a glass of wine or handcrafted cocktail. This Italian restaurant and bar, just a couple of blocks inland from Southern California Beach Club, boasts a modern interior design to reflect the modern Italian menu. The menu features Italian cuisine and tons of wine. However, I can’t recommend the cactus di Campagna cocktail enough. It’s a delicious twist on the classic margarita.

Monello is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and has a cheese wheel pasta that’s to die for. As far as drinks go, I suggest the monte rosa for a refreshing lemonade with a bite or the del Bosco. Either drink is perfect for sipping on during happy hour and pairs nicely with an appetizer to share.
