Bar Crudo is an elegant and sophisticated bar in Alamo Square just a few blocks from the famous Painted Ladies, which are colorful row houses.

It’s a beautiful place for an intimate date or a casual night out.

Their happy hour is fantastic with an array of seafood options and substantial discounts on drinks.

Some of my favorite drinks to get at Bar Crudo are the Pony Pilsner, the Nora Blonde Ale, and the Prog Frog Ale!

Happy Hour Deals: Monday to Saturday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM – $2 oyster of the day (½ dozen or dozen), $2 herb & jalapeno marinated mussels (order by ½ dozen or dozen), $10 seared shishito peppers, $12 seafood chowder, $12 local crispy cod tacos (2 per plate), $12 steamed manila clams, $9 wine specials and $5 beer special.


El Techo

El Techo is an adorable bar in the Mission District on the corner of Mission Street and 21st Street.

This colorful bar has a gorgeous outdoor seating area where you can soak up the sun and enjoy their wonderful happy hour offerings.

Their cocktail menu is sensational, with a mezcal margarita called the Margarita del techo, that offers a lovely smokey flavor with the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

The La Paloma, Sangria, and Pina Colada are all stellar drink options too!

This spot has a beautiful atmosphere with a tropical resort vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation!

It’s bright and cheerful but can still be intimate and romantic.

You can find this bar in the Financial District near the Ferry Building right on the water, so you can enjoy stunning ocean views.

I love how they categorize their cocktails based on flavor, and I tend to gravitate toward the bubbly and bright section, which includes my favorite cocktail, The Wasp!

This Japanese restaurant has a delightful bar area where you can enjoy some happy hour food and drinks.

It’s just a few blocks from the Ferry Building on the corner of California Street and Front Street.

They have a variety of innovative cocktails and a few delicious Japanese draft beers.

I always get the Suntory Pilsner, which hails from Kyoto, Japan, and has a bright but rich flavor.

It’s in the Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood a few blocks from Alta Plaza Park.

The dishes are elevated and exquisite, with plating that will make you feel like you’re in a Michelin restaurant.

My favorite cocktails are their kabosu and Matsuhima mule, a Japanese take on a Moscow mule!

They have a small but distinct selection of draft beer, including the Lobos hazy American IPA that has a juicy and deep flavor.

I also adore their robust wine selection that ranges from Pgulia bottles to local California offerings to Italian varieties!

When it comes to happy hour drinks, I can’t resist their impressive and diverse wine list with delicious offerings, such as a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley Chardonnay, and Washington Sauvignon Blanc.

It’s a rustic but colorful bar with lots of beautiful raw wood and accents of yellow and turquoise.

Their cocktail menu is sensational, with distinct and innovative drinks like the chai toddy, crisp air, and golden horizon.

But I can’t resist their massive alcoholic punch bowls that serve four to six people and offer fruity and refreshing flavors.

It’s near the Mission District a few blocks from the Randall Museum.

The cocktail menu is amazing, making it hard to choose a drink. But you don’t have to!

Santeria offers limited-time cocktail flights, so you can enjoy one ounce of their specialty cocktails, depending on the season.

Or, you can enjoy their exciting margarita bar where you can craft your perfect margarita!

Waterbar, as the name suggests, is right on the water next to the Bay Bridge in Rincon Point.

It has a classic but elevated bar vibe with some of the best views of the bridge at night, making it a super romantic spot.

I enjoy their beer selection, which includes the Trumer Pilsner, Golden State Cider, and HenHouse saison.

The selection offers a range of flavor profiles, from peppery and pungent to smooth and crisp.

I adore their diverse wine and beer selection, making it easy for even the pickiest drinkers to find something satisfying.

It’s near The Painted Ladies in the Lower Haight neighborhood.

They’ve branded themselves as the most unusual bar in the area, referring to their odd atmosphere and unique vibe.

They don’t offer basic beer like Coors or Bud. Instead, they serve memorable beers, like Calicraft Oaktown Brown Ale and Racer 5 IPA!

Happy Hour Deals: Everyday from open to 7 PM – $5 draft beers, $2 off sour drafts, $7 specialty and $6 to $17 sake.

If you want to know where to get a drink and have a lovely evening, Burma Love is one of my favorite spots.

It’s near the Tenderloin and Union Square neighborhoods off 5th Street.

It’s one of the most beautiful and fun places to go out if you want high-quality food and cocktails.

They have about eight beers always available, including the delicious Singha Thai lager, which has a unique Asian flavor profile.

It’s near Belden Place on the corner of Sutter Street and Grant Avenue.

It’s one of the most fun places to get drinks and food, as they offer some truly unique beers, like Iron Ox Plow Pilsner and Kirin Ichiban Lager.

Their wine menu is also intriguing, with rare Spanish and American wines.

Fly Bar

Fly Bar is an artistic dive bar with some whacky decorations and a super laid-back vibe.

It’s one of my favorite places to go out when I want to have a relaxed but fun evening with friends.

It’s beside Alamo Square in the Lower Haight neighborhood on the corner of Divisadero Street and Fulton Street.

This vivacious bar has rotating specials, always offering eccentric drinks, like canned cocktails, sweet toasted porters, and alcoholic coffee drinks.

You never know what whimsical beers they’ll have available!

Happy Hour Deals: Monday to Friday from 12 PM to 6 PM – 50% off pizzas and $3 drafts, sake cocktails and sangria.
