It’s a casual place to gather with friends and sing a few songs without being in front of a huge crowd.
Both the food and drinks here are top-notch, especially the Korean fried chicken.
I love their happy hour because you can get all their beer for 50% off, but their classic mojito is delicious when it’s not happy hour.

In the Corridor neighborhood of San Diego is The Ould Sod.
It’s a classic Irish pub with Irish beer, live music, karaoke, and one of the best atmospheres.
It’s laid-back, but crowds of people still flock to the bar regularly.
Besides the karaoke, people come here for the drink specials.
The Ould Sod offers drink specials throughout the week, their Whiskey Daze being my favorite because they offer discounts on Irish Whiskey.

As for the drinks, they can make most cocktails. I usually opt for a margarita if I’m eating or a domestic beer if I’m just there to sing.
Melody Karaoke & Café
4344 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111
Phone: (858) 292-1689

The Convoy Village Shopping Center houses one of the best karaoke bars in San Diego, Melody Karaoke and Cafe. It looks like an old Hollywood-style bar inside with dim lighting, leather couches, and eclectic decor. They have a full-service bar, but unlike others, they offer bottle service. It’s a great option when you’re there to sing with a group of friends. If that’s not your cup of tea, then I suggest a cocktail like a Manhattan or old-fashioned.
