You’ll find Redwing Bar and Grill in the heart of North Park. It’s a local hotspot, but tourists sometimes make an appearance.

It’s cozy and offers a comfortable environment to sing karaoke. It’s arguably one of the best dive bars in the neighborhood.

Redwing has a full bar, so you can sip on a beer, glass of wine, or a fun cocktail while you wait to sing your favorite karaoke song.

The spiced paloma is my favorite.

The Lamplighter

The Lamplighter is an old-school bar in Mission Hills that offers patrons plenty of games like darts and pool, and, of course, karaoke.

This lively spot is only closed for four hours a day and is a cash-only bar.

I love this bar because it’s no-frills but has a fully stocked bar. They don’t have anything overly fancy, but that’s part of its charm.

I usually go with a local craft beer or a classic mixed drink like a rum and coke here.

Carriage House Cocktails and Karaoke are outside the main hub of San Diego, across from a Hyundai dealership.

It’s a dimly lit bar with colorful lights, pool tables, and retro decor.

The bar menu at Carriage House Cocktails and Karaoke is what you’d expect.

They have almost everything behind the bar, but the cocktails are the way to go here. I like their house margarita and lemon drop shots.

HIVE | Karaoke & Golf

You’ll find HIVE right off Balboa Avenue in San Diego. This massive bar features bright lighting, indoor golf, and private karaoke rooms.

It’s a casual place to gather with friends and sing a few songs without being in front of a huge crowd.

Both the food and drinks here are top-notch, especially the Korean fried chicken.

I love their happy hour because you can get all their beer for 50% off, but their classic mojito is delicious when it’s not happy hour.

The Ould Sod

Visit Website

In the Corridor neighborhood of San Diego is The Ould Sod.

It’s a classic Irish pub with Irish beer, live music, karaoke, and one of the best atmospheres.

It’s laid-back, but crowds of people still flock to the bar regularly.

Besides the karaoke, people come here for the drink specials.

The Ould Sod offers drink specials throughout the week, their Whiskey Daze being my favorite because they offer discounts on Irish Whiskey.

The Hole In The Wall

The Hole In The Wall is one of San Diego’s oldest openly gay bars in Liberty Station.

It’s a welcoming environment with a lively atmosphere.

They have karaoke every day that they’re open, and their bar is stocked with almost everything you could imagine.

Min Sok Chon is a delicious Korean restaurant near Kearny Mesa.

It’s a classy joint to grab drinks at, enjoy dinner, and rent private karaoke rooms for you and your friends.

While it looks elegant, it’s still a casual spot.

I personally like going here during happy hour to take advantage of the best deals.

No matter your drink of choice, you have to plan to have a meal here too.

Camel’s Bar and Grill is a great place to go out near Admiral Baker Golf Course.

It’s a popular neighborhood spot with all the best bar food, karaoke, and even DJs.

They have a full-service bar and a delicious food menu that features street tacos that are to die for.

As for the drinks, they can make most cocktails. I usually opt for a margarita if I’m eating or a domestic beer if I’m just there to sing.

Melody Karaoke & Café

4344 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111
Phone: (858) 292-1689
Visit Website

The Convoy Village Shopping Center houses one of the best karaoke bars in San Diego, Melody Karaoke and Cafe. It looks like an old Hollywood-style bar inside with dim lighting, leather couches, and eclectic decor. They have a full-service bar, but unlike others, they offer bottle service. It’s a great option when you’re there to sing with a group of friends. If that’s not your cup of tea, then I suggest a cocktail like a Manhattan or old-fashioned.

Please drink responsibly, be fully accountable with your alcohol consumption, and show others respect.
