When I’m in the Hayward area and wonder where to get a drink, I always choose Hayward Music Studio.
Tucked off Mission Boulevard, this bar rents ten private rooms hourly.
For inclusive enjoyment, the lyrics are in many languages, including: Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Since there’s a one-hour minimum, I book that and then order some beers to enjoy while I choose and sing songs.

One of the most fun places to go out is the Music Tunnel KTV Café, blocks from Calabazas Park.
Their drinks aren’t what I typically expect from a karaoke bar, which makes me love the place even more.
They serve milk tea, brewed tea, and pots of hot tea. I also love the lychee slush.
Singing can make me hungry, so ordering some of their unique Asian bites always hits the spot.
They have fried mini octopus, takoyaki, and mini meals, which include delicious rice bowls.

Bay Karaoke is in Tully Dragon Plaza near Welch Park. They open at five and stay open late, so I can sing as much as I want.
They offer small and large private rooms, but I always book in advance to ensure I get a space.
It’s ideal for all ages and allows outside food and drinks, so I stock up on snacks that will keep me going and sing for hours.
7 Bamboo Lounge

7 Bamboo Lounge is a women-owned karaoke bar with lively crowds.
It’s in the Hensley area, on the same block as the Japanese American Museum of San Jose.
The bar has several tables and one central karaoke stage. I book a table and order cocktails and beer to prime my singing voice.
My favorite drink is the hot sake, enjoyed during happy hours Wednesday through Saturday.

Next to the Society for the Preservation of Carter Railroad Resources and Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont is Ultra Music Studio.
The cool mic logo on the outside of the building lets me know that good things are in store.
There are private rooms inside the karaoke bar, and I can order buckets of beers to my karaoke space throughout the night.

Sodini’s is one of those karaoke bars that includes other live entertainment, so there’s always a fun crowd.
It’s a laid-back dive bar serving beers and cocktails, worth the drive from San Jose to have a good time.
The karaoke area is in the center of the bar, so I always have a group of people cheering me on when I sing.
