The Hottest Nightclubs Philadelphia Has to Offer

Philadelphia, also known as the city of brotherly love, is a great area to explore.

I love the various restaurants, parks, and especially the nightclubs.

Having spent a great deal of time in the city, I have come to find the best nightclubs in Philadelphia.

With this information, I highlight the top options below.

If you’re looking for where to get a drink with friends or fun places to go out, this guide will have all the best locations for you to check out.

Voyeur Nightclub

1221 St James St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Phone: (215) 735-5772
Visit Website

Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, the Voyeur Nightclub is one of the best places to let loose, have a drink, and relax.

Those who purchase a membership (which has to be approved by the club’s board) will get reduced rates and free admission to some events.

With a location between South 12th and 13th streets and within downtown Philadelphia, Voyeur Nightclub is near many late-night eateries and pizzerias.

The establishment is also easy to find with its central building and address.

NOTO Philadelphia

1209 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Phone: (215) 575-5941
Visit Website

NOTO Philadelphia, which is an acronym for Not of the Ordinary, is another one of the city’s fun places to get drinks and dance around with friends.

In my opinion, one of the most excellent parts of this nightclub is that you can reserve VIP tables in advance for your group.

Having a designated spot to gather for everyone makes all the difference.

In Center City near Chinatown, NOTO Philadelphia sits right off the Vine Street Expressway.

I can easily reach the club from all areas of the city due to its central location.

The Trestle Inn

339 N 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Phone: (267) 239-0290
Visit Website

A visit to the Trestle Inn is more laidback than other options on the list.

With many special events, mainly concerts, that take place throughout the year and their standard operating hours on weekends, you are never at a loss for entertainment when visiting the Inn.

You can find this club on the corner of North 11th Street and Callowhill; it’s not too far from the center of downtown.

Many restaurants and hotels are around if you want to make a night or weekend out of your visit.

Silk City

435 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA 19123
Phone: (215) 592-8838
Visit Website

Silk City is one of the most unique bars and fun places to go out in the Philadelphia region.

You will find an old-fashioned diner in one area and a spacious and heated outdoor garden in another.

The diner is open for meals outside of club hours, which is excellent for the community as the food is fantastic!

You can dance to your favorite tunes, take in a concert, or enjoy a drink with friends during your time at Silk City.

I love the garden best. The heat feature makes it pleasant even during cool nights while providing a breath of fresh air.

The Barbary

951 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125
Visit Website

The Barbary has their own claim to fame with their boasting of many parties and cheap drinks.

As we all know, when you are out for a night of fun, having a good time and not worrying about the cost are two critical elements you want.

With an address that falls between Fishtown and Northern Liberties, The Barbary is right by Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

I personally enjoy making a weekend out of it and enjoying both establishments for a girl’s trip.

Concourse

1635, Back Entrance, Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19103
Phone: (267) 534-4128
Visit Website

One of the most remarkable features of the Concourse Club is the adult-sized ball pit that you can use during your visit.

Instead of the high-end amenities like bottle service and VIP tables, Concourse offers a different take on the best nightclubs in Philadelphia and one of the most fun places to get drinks.

The Concourse is easy to find within Logan Square and near Philadelphia City Hall.

The building houses many different businesses. Therefore you enter the club through the back instead of the front entrance.

Dolphin Tavern

1539 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
Phone: (215) 278-7950
Visit Website

The Dolphin Tavern is your typical run-of-the-mill nightclub that offers theme nights and concerts on a routine basis.

Located in South Philly, the Dolphin Tavern opened in 2013 and is a self-proclaimed dive bar and club.

No matter what they label it, I call it a good time. One of my favorite things is the music-themed dance nights.

Between 90s hits and cover bands, the entire experience is fun and one of Philadelphia’s most fun places to go out.

Final Thoughts

When you are looking for the best nightclubs in Philadelphia, you may not immediately realize how many exist throughout the city.

Having been to them all, I felt compelled to put my thoughts out there for the benefit of others.

Have you been to any of the clubs listed here? If so, leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts!

Please drink responsibly, be fully accountable with your alcohol consumption, and show others respect.

Written by Paul Kushner

I have always had a deep interest in the restaurant and bar industry. My restaurant experience began in 1997 at the age of 14 as a bus boy. By the time I turned 17 I was serving tables, and by 19 I was bartending/bar managing 6-7 nights a week.

In 2012, after a decade and a half of learning all facets of the industry, I opened my first restaurant/bar. In 2015, a second location followed, the latter being featured on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
