Plus, it’s one of the most fun places to go out if you’re looking for a lively crowd that likes to dance and rave instead of just standing around. Between Franklin Park and McPherson Square, Soundcheck is an amazing nightclub catering to EDM and techno lovers. I appreciate that it’s never overly crowded in there, granting my friends and me enough space to, well, dance! Plus, the crowd is always super friendly instead of pretentious or stuck up, as you might find in other clubs in the DMV. If you like to get down to a banging sound system, head to soundcheck.

Located near Dupont Circle, you’ll find HEIST, a luxuriously designed night spot that people love going to for elegant craft cocktails and top-shelf liquor. I personally appreciate their extensive wine list, and I love going there a bit on the early side to enjoy a few glasses before the DJ picks up, and more people start coming in. The DJ usually has great EDM/techno/pop mixes that are so much fun to dance and celebrate too. If you’re celebrating a birthday, getting a table here is a great idea!
