One of the things I love doing when visiting an unfamiliar city is seeking a piano bar. I’ve found that no matter where I am in the country, professional piano players will always make me feel at home with some old standards or surprise me with original compositions and creative covers. With Houston having such a vibrant music and nightlife scene, I knew my trip to Bayou City would offer some amazing piano bars where I could relax after spending a day at the Space Center or Museum of Fine Arts.

Giorgio’s was a pleasant surprise with its unique selection of cocktails. This bar is a laidback spot located inside the Hotel Granduca near West Loop Street and the Houston Memorial Park. After spending an afternoon at the nearby Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, relaxing with a chilled cocktail and listening to a live jazz band was the perfect way to end the day. The food, service, and upscale décor make Giorgio’s one of my top recommendations for a date night in Houston.
