The Crafty Irishman Public House

You’ll find The Crafty Irishman Public House on Main Street in Downtown Dallas.

It’s within walking distance from the Giant Eyeball and other exciting attractions.

The pub is everything you’d expect from an Irish joint, with music, Irish decor, and more.

The Crafty Irishman Public House is known for great food, amazing drinks, and even better company.

The menu here features classic pub food like chicken wings and scotch eggs.

As for the drinks, they have a full bar, but you can’t go wrong with a pint of Guinness here.


Cannon’s Corner Irish Pub

Cannon’s Corner Irish Pub is out in the Bishop Arts District, on the corner of West Davis Street.

It’s another classic Irish pub with warm decor, welcoming staff, and TVs so you can watch all your favorite sporting events.

I love coming to Cannon’s Corner for happy hour. It runs from 2-7 pm on weekdays and offers some of the best drink specials in town.

They have over 20 beers on tap and 50 whiskeys for you to try! My go-to is always the 1759 Old-Fashioned and the Johnny Jump Up burger.


The Old Monk

You’ll have to head north of Downtown Dallas to find The Old Monk, but it’s only about ten minutes away.

This American-style pub is homey and is a local favorite for catching up with friends.

I love the patio and live music they regularly have while sipping on a nice cocktail.

My favorites here are their Watermelon Ranch water and Ancho Chile margarita.

If you want something to eat while you’re here, you can’t go wrong with their Fish and Chips (which was voted “Best in Town”) or the Vegetarian Reuben.


The Playwright Irish Pub

Another great pub in Downtown Dallas is The Playwright Irish Pub. It’s near the Winspear Opera House and Moody Performance Hall.

This pub is another traditional Irish pub with homey decor, live music, and more than 50 beers on tap.

They have drink specials throughout the week, like daily happy hour, Whiskey Wednesdays, and more.

I love trying their blended pints, like the Black Velvet, combining Guinness and champagne.

They have great food, too, like their spicy cheese curds or Irish nachos.


Blackfriar Pub

Blackfriar Pub is in Uptown, and you can’t miss it among the other buildings.

It’s in a stunning wood-framed house with a garden I enjoy hanging out in when the weather’s cooperating.

The drink and food menu here is what you’d expect from any pub. They have a full bar with beer, wine, and liquor.

You can get whatever you want, but I love their cocktails like the Manhattan.

The food here is filling and delicious. I love the bangers and mash and chicken tacos.


Harwood Arms

Harwood Arms is one of the best British pubs in Uptown.

You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see mini flags from around the world strung around the outside and the wooden building with floral arrangements.

Like the other Dallas pubs, Harwood Arms has a full bar with beer, wine, cider, mixed drinks, and cocktails.

They have a vast scotch and whiskey library to explore, and the staff can offer recommendations.

I love their Strawberry Fields cocktail and white bean dip.


Dubliner

Out in Greenland, HIlls is Dubliner. This classic Irish pub is one of the only ones in Dallas where an Irishman from Dublin operates.

The minute you walk in, you’ll feel a sense of comfort thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

While they have a full bar here, I always enjoy just ordering a classic Irish red ale and something to eat while I enjoy the company of whoever I’m with.


CRÚ Food & Wine Bar (West Village)

CRU is in the West Village and is the perfect pub and wine bar combination.

It’s elegant yet laid-back at the same time. It’s minimally decorated but still feels comforting.

They’re open for dinner daily and brunch on the weekends.

It’s the perfect little pub to share a bottle of wine with friends or get your own glasses so you can all be satisfied with your choices.

Their charcuterie boards are a must-order too.

Lastly, we have the Uptown Pub. It’s in the perfect location in Uptown on McKinney Avenue and is and is in a beautiful, historic house.

I love sitting on the patio, even when it’s cold, because they have a fireplace.

They have a full bar menu and a large food menu to browse.

I recommend getting a local craft beer when you’re here or a mixed drink.

As for the food, they have burgers, wings, salads, and more.
