Head to Midtown and relax with a glass of wine at 13 celsius. It’s a chill, relaxed wine bar with outdoor seating in a cute courtyard setting. The place is just a short drive from the Business District and Downtown, and you can stop by if you’re visiting the House of Blues or Discovery Green. I recommend ordering a board of fresh bread, cheese, and olives with cabernet franc wine from Washington or a pinot noir from France.

It’s a Phoenix-based chain with locations throughout the southwest and one of my favorite wine bars to visit in Houston. The bar is a peaceful respite from the bustle of the city, and it’s an ideal spot for a low-key meet-up with friends. Choose a Four Bruschetta plate with smoked salmon and cheeses, and order a bottle of rose to share.
