16-Bit Bar + Arcade redefines how a night out is best played. With a name coined from the computer architecture that several of our 40+ vintage arcade games were built on, 16-Bit appeals to those looking for an alternative to the monotonous.

From bar-going veterans to young open-minded, beer-centric types, to arcade game novices and enthusiasts, the nostalgic and playful vibe is for players of all types. The time has come to relive your childhood and party like it’s 1999, or 1989 for that matter.

My all time favorite drink at this spot is the Lisa Frank. It comes with vodka, watermelon pucker, pineapple rum, fruit punch, and airhead rainbow sour belt and is absolutely delicious! I also tried the Pam Anderson and Donkey Kong which were equally as good.

DENMARK is Columbus’ home for an unparalleled cocktail experience. Overlooking High Street, guests can enjoy sips & bites in the open, cosmopolitan atmosphere of the 2nd floor bar and lounge.

DENMARK produces unique, delicious cocktails for all palettes, utilizing custom liqueurs & cordials, house-made bitters, fresh juices and fascinating techniques. Their house concoctions & suggested classics rotate seasonally, so there is always a new beverage experience waiting.

The French Martini was absolutely delicious and had vodka, creme de mure, pineapple juice, and champagne. Other great cocktails I tried were the Cosmo, Espresso Martini, and Vodka Tonic. This spot is a must-visit!

Lincoln Social Rooftop

Lincoln Social Rooftop is a comfortable restaurant offering cocktails & pizza, plus generous tacos & sliders. Their talented culinary team is fanatical about freshness and uses only the finest ingredients. Their ready to satisfy all your higher-level cravings.

On my visit I tried the Padre’s Paloma with Corazon Reposado, grapefruit cordial, blood orange, and pink peppercorn. It was absolutely amazing so I definitely recommend ordering this. Other drinks that sounded great were the Cuffing Season, Shades of Night, and Mule It Over.

Local Bar prides themselves in having involvement in such a diverse community here in the Short North Arts District. Local Bar has an extensive list of local and regional craft beers, and weekly events.

This is one of the most popular bars in the area, so you’ll be sure to have a good time. I ordered a few drinks, but my favorite ended up being the East Cider Blood Orange.

Oddfellows Liquor Bar

Oddfellows Liquor Bar is a fun, classically casual, destination dive bar. It has a great beer selection, interesting cocktail lists, and the occasional free hot-dog night.

We dropped by this spot one night and had a blast! If you end up visiting this bar, I would try the Sex in the Afternoon, Paloma, or Wonder Spritz.

Pins Mechanical Co

Pins Mechanical Co. serves craft cocktails in an industrial space with duckpin bowling, pinball & other classic games.

The bartender at this spot recommended the Gin & Foos with gin, elderflower, lemon, mint, simple, peach puree, and mint sprig garnish so I had to try it! The group of friends I was with ordered the Kiwi Mule, Bourbon Strike, and Pinball Wizard, Berry Curve, and Bitter Sweet Symphony.

Seventh Son Brewing Co.

Seventh Son Brewing has been producing exceptional beers at the intersection of 4th & 4th in Columbus’ historic Italian Village since April of 2013. It’s a brewery specializing in ales & IPAs with a bright, rustic tasting room & visiting food trucks.

My favorite drink on the menu is their Deku Shot with Jalapeno-infused OYO Vodka, Midori, lime, and simple syrup. Other cocktails that looked amazing were the Paloma, Kelly’s Island, and The Spicy Lady.

Union Cafe

Featuring Columbus’ best patio, Union Café features modern American cuisine from the legendary Chef Ken. Treat yourself to popularly priced dishes with excellent portions. Union Café is also known for having the best drinks in Columbus.

We had so much fun at this place! My friends ordered the Raspberry Island and Tokyo Tea Island, and I opted for the Bubble Iced Tea.

Antiques on High

Antiques on High is located on South High Street in the brewery district of Columbus, Ohio. As the sister brewery to Seventh Son Brewing, AoH focuses on the production of sour and wild beers as well as hazy hop-forward IPAs and pale ales. Along with our AOH beers there are several wines and craft cocktails offered on draft.

If you stop by this place, I would recommend trying the Green Machine;  cucumber basil rum, aveze, lime, and agave. Other drinks that caught my eye were the Arctic Vice, Kit Fox, and Higher Grounds. I’ll be ordering those next time I pop into this spot!

Bob’s Bar

Bob’s Bar is a lively neighborhood tavern featuring hundreds of on-tap or bottled beers, plus pool tables.

This place is one of my favorites! I came here with a group of co-workers and had a great time. I ordered the Schneider Aventinus and loved it.

BrewDog Franklinton

With 48 taps of fresh craft beer, Franklinton is the answer. An absolutely incredible refurb of an old car mechanics shop featuring super high ceilings, street level patio as well as an epic roof terrace and bar.

My friends tried the False Start, Daisy Cutter Pale Ale, and Take a Hike 7 and loved them! I had the Rancho Relaxo and it was delicious!

BrewDog Short North

BrewDog Short North’s team of craft beer crusaders are serving up some of the best craft beer in the city from ourselves and our favourite guest breweries on our 24 taps. Its a small bar with 24 taps of delicious craft beer, beer inspired cocktails and wine. Incredible deli and charcuterie offerings by Moody Trudy.

I highly recommend trying the Elvis AF, Cosmic Crush – Raspberry, and Canyon Doors. My favorite cocktail was the Apple Heist.

Bristol Republic

Nestled in the heart of the thriving Short North, Bristol Republic is a locally owned, Nashville inspired restaurant and bar serving up competition quality BBQ smoked in-house daily, ice cold craft beer, over 150 rare Bourbon and Whiskeys and live music (Thursday- Saturday) from local and national bands.

My favorite drink is the Grow A Pear with Espolon Blanco, pear juice, ginger simple syrup, and cinnamon. Or you can try the Layers Last Call, Somethin’ Sweet, and Cowboy Campfire.

If you’re looking for one of the best spots to go out for drinks, this is the spot! I had the Black Label Beer.

Grandview Cafe

For nearly a century, they have been part of the community of Grandview, and continue to serve as the best brunch restaurant, burger spot, bar, and café around.

Whether you want to enjoy an omelet and a Bloody Mary in an atmosphere that will take you back through the history of this local legend, or take advantage of happy hour with bourbon or beer, they are your go-to place when you are in the neighborhood.

If you stop by this place, I would recommend trying the Barrel Pick Old Fashioned;  Woodford Double Oaked barrel pick, demerara, and cherry bitters. Other drinks that caught my eye were the Gold Rush, Don Juan Paloma, and Strawberry Herb. I’ll be ordering those next time I pop into this spot!

High Bank Distillery is your destination for great food, cold drinks, and fun times in Columbus, OH.

They pride themselves in the quality and flavors of our spirits, distilled and prepared in house, and perfect for any occasion. Pair their creative cocktails with some traditional pub food, and you have the recipe for a perfect night out.

This spot has always been on my list of best bars. Whenever I’m here I get the same drink, the End of Anxiety. It comes with bourbon, aperol, campari, mint, demerara syrup, and citrus.
