DrinkWell is an award-winning cocktail bar and neighborhood restaurant located in Austin’s eclectic North Loop District.
On my visit I tried the Gimlet. It was absolutely amazing so I definitely recommend ordering this. Other drinks that sounded great were the Hotel Nacional, Hanky Panky, and Old Fashioned.

Garage is an unassuming bar crafting inventive cocktails in a hip, midcentury-inspired space in a parking garage.
I really loved the drink I ordered, Barton Falls with bourbon, bonal, velvet falernum, and mole bitters. Our bartender also recommended a few of the other drinks on the menu; Seven Day Weekend, Bee’s Knees, and Maybe Tomorrow.

The Roosevelt Room is an award-winning Cocktail Bar and Event Venue located in the heart of downtown Austin’s historic Warehouse District.
Since opening in June 2015, they have been dedicated to treating every guest like family, and seeing them leave happier than when they arrived, whether joining them for a quick drink or for an entire evening.
I got the Sherry Cocktail cocktail which has Lustau Manzanilla & Amontillado Sherry, cinnamon syrup, fresh orange, mint, berries in season! Other drinks I would recommend are the Milk Punch, Blue Blazer, and Sazerac.

Nickel City is a retro watering hole with craft cocktails & a laid-back attitude. The bar serves cold beer and mixed drinks with food trailer specializing in Detroit-style coney dogs and bites.
My favorite drink on the menu is their Brandy Crusta with vecchia romagna brandy, orange curacao, maraschino liqueur, lemon, and angostura bitters. Other cocktails that looked amazing were the Underhand Toes, Pompelmo Sour, and All My Ex’s Live in TX.

Whisler’s serves expertly crafted cocktails daily. The bar recently opened Mezcalería Tobalá on the second floor, celebrating the culture and traditions of the Mexican spirit. it also features a patio with frequent live music shows.
If you stop by this place, I would recommend trying the Tiger’s Tears; vodka, lemon, strawberry, basil, and chili pepper. Other drinks that caught my eye were the Hornet’s Nest, Southern Gentleman, and Jane Porter. I’ll be ordering those next time I pop into this spot!

Firehouse Lounge’s cozy and sleek interior radiates with old world charm. Leather seats invite you to sit back and relax. Their experienced and knowledgeable staff pride themselves on recreating some of the world’s best classic cocktails in addition to creating original drinks to satisfy any palette.
This is one of the most popular bars in the area, so you’ll be sure to have a good time. I ordered a few drinks, but my favorite ended up being the No Rush.

Half step is a low-key lounge presenting a short menu of craft cocktails in a cozy space with dark wood booths.
This spot has always been on my list of best bars. Whenever I’m here I get the same drink, the African Flower. It comes with bourbon, amaro ciociaro, crème de cacao, orange bitters and an orange twist.

Kitty Cohen’s is a retro bar offering specialty drinks & punches, plus a spacious yard with shaded poolside seating.
My all time favorite drink at this spot is the Express Yourself. It comes with Bailey’s, Ketel One Vodka, Kahlua, and espresso and is absolutely delicious! I also tried the Janis and Whiskey Sour which were equally as good.

Midnight Cowboy is one of the oldest speakeasy bars in Austin, opened in 2012. They converted the bar from a former brothel that was masquerading as a massage parlor known as Midnight Cowboy Modeling Oriental Massage.
Often revered as Austin’s most genuine, original speakeasy and craft cocktail lounge, they have taken great pride in offering exemplary service while providing downtown’s best cocktails.
I highly recommend trying the The Sleep Doormouse, Chai Bella, and Aqua Dillenia. My favorite cocktail was the The Millenial with dutch gin, swiss chocolate, french fortified wine, and egg white.

Small Victory is a small bar in downtown Austin featuring classic cocktails, punch, geek ice, geek wine & geek charcuteries, cheeses & country ham.
Enjoy craft cocktails like the Painkiller with Virgin Island Rums, pineapple, orange, coconut, and nutmeg. Other great drink options include the Queen Bee, Quaker, and Saturn.

Dirty Bill’s is a snug, dimly lit but rollicking bar with a variety of draft beers, plus occasional live music & DJs.
If you’re looking for one of the best spots to go out for drinks, this is the spot! I had the Bloody Mary.

Here Nor There is a semi-private craft cocktail lounge and experiential hideaway born out of a desire to mingle and connect with like-minded peers working on meaningful pursuits. It is comprised of a curated group of diverse and talented members and staff, and offers a journey of global discovery.
This spot served up some of the best drinks I’ve had and was so much fun. I came here with a group of friends and ordered the Rose and Thorn with a citrussy champagne cocktail finished with raspberry gelato. My friends ordered the Coffee and Cigarettes and Grapes and Date.

Higher Ground is a nightlife social space for enlightened spirits with elevated soul in Austin Texas. From happy hour to dinner, Higher Ground is a special experience. Join us on the weekends for great vibes from some of the best local DJs and dance the night away under our chandeliers.
The bartender at this spot recommended the Gluttony with absolut vodka, heavy cream, coffee dam, licor 43, and nutmeg, so I had to try it! The group of friends I was with ordered the Greed, Envy, and Lust, Sloth, and Pride.
Lala’s Little Nugget

Founded in 1972, Lala’s Little Nugget has long been one of the divining and endearing bars of Austin, Texas for decades.
With the halls decked with boughs of holly year round, Santa and his reindeer perched on the roof and generations of Christmas memorabilia, Lala’s is a North Pole oasis in Central Texas.
The Naughty Nugget was absolutely delicious and had Jose Cuervo Silver, cointreau, lime juice, pineaaple, orange juice, slice jalapeno, and chili salt rim. Other great cocktails I tried were the Stout Russian, Grounded Flight, and Irish Iced Coffee. This spot is a must-visit!
The Driskill Bar

From the elegant, timeless lobby, walk up the grand staircase and enter into old-world Texas, fit for a cattle baron.
Named one of the 10 Best Hotel Bars in America by USA Today and The Best Bar in Texas by Southern Living, The Driskill Bar is, without question, as Texas as it gets for downtown Austin bars.
I really loved this place, so I’ll be coming back soon. When I was here I ordered the Boulevardier with vodka, cranberry, and citrus. Some other drinks that the bartender recommended were the Pink Lady, Sazerac, or Corpse Reviver #2.
The Tigress Pub

The Tigress Pub is an intimate but swanky neighborhood bar focused on local beers & classic hand-crafted cocktails.
We had so much fun at this place! My friends ordered the Negroni and Paper Tiger, and I opted for the Bright eyed. My drink came with gin, cocchi americano, lemon, and jasmine-clove syrup.
The White Horse

The White Horse is a live country music is served up in this hip, upbeat, sprawling honky-tonk with a taco truck outside.
They feature: a full-service bar, outdoor patio and smoking area, live music seven days a week, two pool tables, Bomb Tacos taco trailer, a giant dance floor, a pretty little photo booth, shoe shine station, and WHISKEY ON TAP.
