Take a Collins glass and rim it with a lime wedge or lime juice. Add the flaky sea salt to a plate and coat the rim.
Add ice to the collins glass and an extra pinch of sea salt.
Add your blanco tequila. Cut a lime in half and squeeze one half into the glass.
Top with Dr. Pepper and cherry bitters. Stir the cocktail using the knife you used to cut the lime in half. This gives it the traditional Batanga flavor by extracting extra lime juice with the knife.
Garnish with a lime wheel and serve immediately. Enjoy your Dr. Batanga!
