This fun and spicy cocktail is a great conversation starter and perfect for anyone who loves a bit of heat in their drinks.
- 2 oz Blanco tequila
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz Agave nectar
- 4 dashes Hot sauce e.g., Tabasco or similar heat level to Hot Cheetos
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Hot Cheetos plus extra for the rim
- 1/2 oz Triple sec or Cointreau
Prepare the Glass:
Start with a chilled cocktail or wide-mouthed margarita glass.
Rub a lime wedge around the rim to moisten it.
Mix crushed Hot Cheetos and a bit of fine salt on a plate if you like.
Dip the rim of the glass into the mixture to coat it evenly. Set aside.
Mix the Drink:
In a shaker, muddle 1 teaspoon of crushed Hot Cheetos to release their flavor.
Add the Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, hot sauce, Triple sec, and ice to the shaker.
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, or until well-chilled.
Serve:
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, leaving the muddled Cheeto bits behind.
Optionally, add a few whole ice cubes to the glass to keep the drink cold.
Garnish with a small skewer of Hot Cheetos for an extra spicy bite.
