Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

*Honey Simple Syrup:

  • Add the honey and water to a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  • Stir gently until the honey fully dissolves into the water. Do not let it come to a boil
  • Once combined and smooth, remove from heat. Do not let it come to a boil
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Transfer to a sealed container and store in the fridge for 2 weeks

For the drink:

  • Add the bourbon, honey syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass or shaker tin.
  • Fill with ice and stir for about 20 seconds, until well chilled and slightly diluted.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  • Garnish with a small piece of walnut baklava on a cocktail pick. For an easy option, grab walnut baklava from the dessert section at a local Mediterranean spot and cut a small triangle for the garnish.
