Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz sweet & sour mix
  • 2 oz mango nectar
  • 0.5 oz lime juice
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup
  • Handful of blackberries about 5–6 or more for garnish
  • Tajín for rimming
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim the Glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your rocks glass, then dip into Tajín.
  • Muddle: In the bottom of the prepared glass, muddle the blackberries to release their juice. Add fresh ice on top.
  • Shake: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, sweet & sour mix, agave syrup, and mango nectar. Shake well until chilled.
  • Strain: Strain the mixture over the muddled blackberries and ice.
  • Garnish: Top with a lime wheel, blackberries and an extra sprinkle of Tajín if desired.

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Use ripe blackberries for a richer color and flavor.
  • Double strain if you prefer a smoother drink without seeds.
  • Add a few whole blackberries on a cocktail pick for extra garnish.
