Instructions
Prepare the Simple Syrup: If you don’t have simple syrup, you can quickly make it by dissolving equal parts of sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Let it cool before use.
Muddle the Blueberries: In the cocktail shaker, muddle the blueberries until they are fully crushed and release their juice.
Mix the Cocktail: Add the white rum, freshly squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice to the shaker.
Shake: Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This not only chills the drink but also ensures that all the flavors are well combined.
Strain: Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass to remove the blueberry pulp and seeds. You can double strain it through a fine mesh strainer if you prefer a smoother cocktail.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass or float a few fresh blueberries on top of the drink.
Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade blueberry daiquiri.
