Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Handful of fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg white
  • Lemon slice for garnish

Instructions

  • In a mixing glass, muddle the blueberries with the lemon juice and simple syrup until well combined.
  • Transfer the muddled blueberry mixture into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add the gin, Angostura bitters, and egg white to the shaker. Shake vigorously without ice to create a rich foam from the egg white (a dry shake).
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a slice of lemon for a bright, fresh finish.
  • Serve and enjoy the delightful flavors of the Blueberry Gin Sour!

Notes

Pro Tips

  • For an even smoother texture, double-strain the cocktail to remove blueberry seeds and pulp.
  • To intensify the blueberry flavor, add a few more fresh blueberries to the muddling step.
  • Chilling the glass beforehand will keep your drink colder for longer.
