Enjoy a delightful combination of white rum, lime juice, and sugar in a classic Daiquiri. It's the ultimate cocktail delight, appropriate for every occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz light rum
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3/4 oz demerara syrup

Instructions

  • Pour rum, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass or coupe glass.
  • If you find it too tart, add just a bit more simple syrup. If it's too sweet, add more lime or cut your simple syrup by a teaspoon or two.

Notes

Can I use black rum to make a Daiquiri?
A darker rum can give your Daiquiri a richer, caramel-like flavor; nonetheless, white rum is the typical ingredient.
Is using a cocktail shaker required?
To guarantee that your Daiquiri is appropriately chilled and diluted, use a cocktail shaker. If you do not have a shaker, you can whisk the ingredients over ice.
Can I create a large batch of Daiquiris?
Of course! Simply multiply the ingredients by the required number of servings. Blend well in a big pitcher and pour over ice.
