A Floradora is a blend of ginger ale, raspberry syrup, lime juice, and London dry gin.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz London dry gin
  • 1 oz Lime juice
  • ½ oz Homemade raspberry syrup
  • Ginger beer or ginger ale to top
  • Fresh raspberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add London dry gin, lime juice, and homemade raspberry syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake the ingredients vigorously for 10-15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.
  • Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
  • Top the cocktail with ginger beer or ginger ale.
  • Garnish with fresh raspberries.

Notes

Is it possible to substitute syrup with fresh raspberries?
Indeed, combining fresh raspberries with the other ingredients in the shaker will add a touch of freshness and depth.
Does it come in an alcohol-free variant?
In an instant! Substitute a non-alcoholic spirit for the gin and flavor it with raspberry syrup. A wonderful mocktail, ginger ale retains its fizzy allure.
Can I whip up a batch of Floradora to serve at a gathering?
Yes, all you have to do is combine all the ingredients in a big pitcher and multiply the amount by the number of servings you require. For the ginger ale to keep its fizz, add it right before serving.
