Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz white rum
  • 0.75 oz ginger simple syrup
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz honeydew purée
  • 3 oz soda water to top
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • Garnish: mint sprig

Instructions

  • Gently muddle mint leaves in the bottom of a shaker to release their aroma.
  • Add white rum, ginger syrup, lime juice, and honeydew purée to the shaker.
  • Fill with ice and shake thoroughly until chilled.
  • Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with soda water and stir lightly to combine.
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Use ripe honeydew for the best flavor. A blender and fine mesh strainer can help create a smooth purée.
  • Don’t over-muddle the mint just a gentle press is enough to bring out the oils without bitterness.
  • For added chill, freeze honeydew cubes and blend them for an icy variation.
