Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • ¾ oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • Sugar for rimming
  • Lemon wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim a chilled cocktail glass with sugar by running a lemon wedge around the rim and dipping it in sugar
  • Combine the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until the shaker is frosted over.
  • Strain the cocktail into the sugar-rimmed glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge.

  • Use superfine sugar for the rim so it adheres better and melts slightly as you sip.
