Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 ounce espresso you can use freshly brewed and cooled
  • 1/2 ounce maple syrup you can adjust to taste
  • Coffee beans or orange peel twist for garnish
  • Brown Sugar for rimming the glass optional

Instructions

  • Chill Your Glass:
  • Start by placing your martini glass in the freezer to chill. This will help keep your drink perfectly cold.
  • Mix the Ingredients:
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, cooled espresso, and maple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake It Up:
  • Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This not only chills the drink but also dilutes it slightly, enhancing the flavors.
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into your chilled martini glass. The aim is to achieve a smooth, frothy top.
  • Garnish and Enjoy:
  • Garnish with a few coffee beans or a twist of orange peel for an aromatic finish.

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Use high-quality, freshly brewed espresso for the richest flavor.
  • Adjust the maple syrup to your preferred sweetness—less for boldness, more for balance.
  • A light brown sugar rim can add texture and an extra touch of sweetness.
