Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 2 oz cool not hot water
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz cane sugar syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 5 fresh mint leaves plus more for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the Matcha: Whisk matcha powder into 2 oz cool water until smooth. Set aside.
  • Muddle: In a tall glass or julep cup, gently muddle mint leaves with cane sugar syrup and lemon juice.
  • Build: Add bourbon and matcha mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Ice & Stir: Fill the glass with crushed ice and stir until chilled and slightly diluted.
  • Garnish: Top with a generous sprig of mint for aroma and visual appeal.
