Ingredients

  • Cinnamon sugar and flaky sea salt for rimming the glass
  • 2 ounces mezcal or tequila
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 1/2 ounce Lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Maple syrup
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish
  • Rosemary sprig for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Mix equal parts cinnamon sugar and flaky sea salt on a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into the cinnamon sugar and salt mixture to coat. Set the glass aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal (or tequila), orange liqueur, apple cider, lime juice, and maple syrup. Adjust the maple syrup to your desired level of sweetness.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously to combine and chill the ingredients.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick. For an optional smoky effect, light the cinnamon stick on fire briefly before serving. You can also add a rosemary sprig for an extra aromatic touch.
  • Enjoy your Smoky Harvest Apple Cider Margarita!

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Taste the mixture before shaking and adjust the amount of maple syrup according to your preference.
  • Mezcal will give a smoky flavor to the cocktail, while tequila will provide a more traditional margarita taste. Choose according to your preference.
  • If lighting the cinnamon stick, do so with caution and ensure it’s extinguished before serving.
