- 2 oz. tequila you can use blanco tequila for a crisp clean taste
- 1/2 oz. lime juice freshly squeezed
- 1/2 oz. agave syrup adjust to taste for sweetness
- 2 oz. grapefruit juice fresh is best, but store-bought works too
- 2-3 slices jalapeno slice more for spicier taste
- Grapefruit soda or club soda to top off
- Salt and a grapefruit wedge for the rim
Prepare the Glass:
Take a slice of lime and run it around the edge of your glass.
Dip the rim into salt to coat it lightly.
Fill the glass with ice to keep your drink chilled.
Mix the Drink:
In a shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, agave syrup, grapefruit juice, and jalapeno slices.
Add a handful of ice to the shaker.
Shake well for about 15 seconds to chill the mixture and infuse it with the jalapeno's heat.
Assemble the Paloma:
Strain the mixture into your prepared glass, leaving the jalapeno slices and ice in the shaker.
