For the Cocktail:
- 1.5 oz mezcal
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz jalapeño honey watermelon juice see below
- ½ oz lime juice
- Tajín for rim
- Watermelon slice for garnish
For the Jalapeño Honey Watermelon Juice:
- 1 cup watermelon chunks
- 3 slices fresh jalapeño adjust for spice
- 1 oz honey
- 1 oz water
Rim the Glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip into Tajín. Fill with fresh ice.
Shake: In a shaker filled with ice, combine mezcal, Cointreau, watermelon juice, and lime juice. Shake well.
Strain: Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish: Add a fresh slice of watermelon on the rim.
Make the Jalapeño Honey Watermelon Juice:
Blend: Combine watermelon chunks, jalapeño slices, honey, and water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Strain: Use cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp. Set juice aside.
