Rinse the apple, lemon, and berries. Remove the tops from the strawberries and slice them thinly. Slice the lemon into thin rounds.
Slice the apple into ½-inch thick slices. Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes. Lightly coat the apple stars with lemon juice to help prevent browning. If preparing the sangria the night before, wait to cut the garnish stars until the day of serving for the freshest appearance.
Add the white wine, lemonade, and white rum to a large pitcher.
Add the apple stars, strawberries, blueberries, and lemon slices to the pitcher.
Stir gently and refrigerate for 1–3 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to combine.
Before serving, top with lemon-lime soda.
Fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria over, and garnish with extra berries and star-shaped apple slices. Cut a small slit into a star-shaped apple slice and place it on the rim of the glass for a festive garnish.
