Apple Cider-Mezcal Margarita

- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 lime wedge
- 2 oz apple cider
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 1/2 oz mezcal
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- Garnish: cinnamon sticks and apple slices
On a small plate, mix together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
Rub the lime wedge around the rims of 2 rocks glasses, then dip the rims into the cinnamon-sugar-salt mixture until well coated.
Fill the glasses with ice cubes.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add apple cider, lime juice, mezcal, and triple sec.
Cover and shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
Divide the mixture evenly between the prepared glasses.
Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick and apple slices, if desired.
