Ingredients

  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 1/2 oz mezcal
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • Garnish: cinnamon sticks and apple slices

Instructions

  • On a small plate, mix together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  • Rub the lime wedge around the rims of 2 rocks glasses, then dip the rims into the cinnamon-sugar-salt mixture until well coated.
  • Fill the glasses with ice cubes.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add apple cider, lime juice, mezcal, and triple sec.
  • Cover and shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
  • Divide the mixture evenly between the prepared glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick and apple slices, if desired.
