Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cranberry juice
  • 2 oz Orange juice
  • 1/2 Granny Smith apple cored and sliced
  • 1 Whole cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Fresh ginger cut to the size of a penny and 1/4 inch thick
  • Orange slices rosemary sprigs, and cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the ginger, cinnamon stick, and cloves into an empty tea bag and pull the drawstring tight. If you don’t have a tea bag, tie the spices in a piece of cheesecloth.
  • Pour the cranberry juice into a saucepan. Add the tea bag of spices, orange juice, and apple slices to the pan.
  • Simmer the mixture over low heat for one hour, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • After simmering, remove the tea bag or cheesecloth of spices from the pan.
  • Chill the mocktail in the refrigerator and serve over ice, garnished with an orange slice and a sprig of rosemary.
  • Serve immediately while warm, garnished with a cinnamon stick for an extra touch of warmth.

Notes

Pro Tips

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer cloves or cinnamon sticks according to your taste.
  • For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of apple cider before serving.
  • If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can add a bit of honey or maple syrup during the simmering process.
