Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 0.5 ounce pecan liqueur
  • 0.25 ounce water
  • 2-3 drops pecan bitters
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
  • Strip of orange peel, candied pecan optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail mixing glass, combine the light brown sugar, pecan bitters, water, and bourbon. Stir until the sugar has fully dissolved.
  • Once the sugar has melted into the mixture, stir in the pecan liqueur.
  • Place a large ice cube into a double rocks glass.
  • Add a strip of orange peel to the glass for a bright citrusy garnish.
  • Pour the pecan bourbon old fashioned over the ice.
  • Top with a candied pecan for an extra touch of sweetness, if desired.
