Chocolate Hot Buttered Rum is a warm beverage perfect for chilly evenings. This rich and creamy drink combines the sweet flavors of chocolate with the spicy kick of rum.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of dark rum
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • A stick of butter

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm.
  • Add chocolate chips and stir until fully melted.
  • Mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Add a small slice of butter (about 1 tablespoon per serving) to the mixture and stir until it's completely melted and incorporated.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the rum and vanilla extract.
  • Pour into mugs and top each with a little more butter (about 1 teaspoon per mug) and whipped cream.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
