Chocolate Hot Buttered Rum is a warm beverage perfect for chilly evenings. This rich and creamy drink combines the sweet flavors of chocolate with the spicy kick of rum.
2 cups of milk 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips 1/2 cup of dark rum 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract A pinch of ground cinnamon A pinch of ground nutmeg Whipped cream for garnish A stick of butter
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm.
Add chocolate chips and stir until fully melted.
Mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add a small slice of butter (about 1 tablespoon per serving) to the mixture and stir until it's completely melted and incorporated.
Remove from heat and stir in the rum and vanilla extract.
Pour into mugs and top each with a little more butter (about 1 teaspoon per mug) and whipped cream.
Serve warm and enjoy!
