Fill the mixing glass with ice. Add equal parts of dry gin and dry vermouth to the glass. If you prefer a more aromatic cocktail, add a dash of orange bitters.
Stir the mixture with a bar spoon for around 20 seconds or until the mixture is well-chilled.
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass using a julep strainer.
Garnish the cocktail with a lemon twist or an olive.
Serve and enjoy your 50/50 martini.
