Ingredients

  • 2 ounces rye whiskey or bourbon
  • ½ ounce dry vermouth
  • ½ ounce sweet vermouth
  • 2 angostura or orange bitters dashes
  • brandied cherry or lemon twist for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a mixing glass with ice.
  • Add rye whiskey or bourbon, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of bitters.
  • Stir the mixture until it's well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled Nick & Nora glass or cocktail glass.
  • Garnish the cocktail with a brandied cherry or a lemon twist.
