Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz Cognac
  • 0.5 oz maple syrup
  • 2 dashes coffee-orange bitters
  • Large ice cube
  • Orange peel for garnish
  • Luxardo cherry for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • In a mixing glass, combine bourbon, cognac, maple syrup, and coffee-orange bitters.
  • Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently for about 20-30 seconds until well-chilled and diluted.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  • Express an orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass. Optionally, add a Luxardo cherry for an extra touch of sweetness.
