Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and mint leaves.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the mint to infuse into the syrup.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the mint leaves.
  • Pour the syrup into a sterilized mason jar or glass bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.
