Dip the rim in salt to coat it lightly. Set aside.
Blend the Fruit:
In a blender, combine the chopped papaya with a small amount of water (just enough to help blend smoothly).
Blend until the mixture is smooth.
Mix the Drink:
In a shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and about 2 ounces of the blended papaya.
Fill the shaker with ice. Shake well until the mixture is well chilled.
Serve:
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of papaya.
