Ingredients
- 2 ounces tequila you can use blanco tequila for a smoother taste
- 1 ounces orange liqueur you can use Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 1 ounces lime juice
- 1/2 ounces agave syrup adjust to taste
- 1 cup fresh papaya peeled, seeded, and chopped
- Salt for rimming the glass
- Lime wedge and fresh papaya slice for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass:
- Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge.
- Dip the rim in salt to coat it lightly. Set aside.
- Blend the Fruit:
- In a blender, combine the chopped papaya with a small amount of water (just enough to help blend smoothly).
- Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Mix the Drink:
- In a shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and about 2 ounces of the blended papaya.
- Fill the shaker with ice. Shake well until the mixture is well chilled.
- Serve:
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of papaya.
