Mix fresh papaya, smooth tequila, orange liqueur, agave syrup, and lime juice for a refreshing Papaya margarita.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila you can use blanco tequila for a smoother taste
  • 1 ounces orange liqueur you can use Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 1 ounces lime juice
  • 1/2 ounces agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup fresh papaya peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • Salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedge and fresh papaya slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Glass:
  • Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge.
  • Dip the rim in salt to coat it lightly. Set aside.
  • Blend the Fruit:
  • In a blender, combine the chopped papaya with a small amount of water (just enough to help blend smoothly).
  • Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  • Mix the Drink:
  • In a shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and about 2 ounces of the blended papaya.
  • Fill the shaker with ice. Shake well until the mixture is well chilled.
  • Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of papaya.
  • Enjoy!
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Papaya Margarita!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of agave syrup depending on how sweet you like your margaritas. The freshness of the papaya combined with the lime juice makes this margarita taste good. Enjoy your Papaya Margarita responsibly!
